Teens That Mean Business

A Better World Community Development Corporation (ABWCDC) facilitates the Teens That Mean Business (“TTMB”) program, a six-week, summer, stipend-based internship and educational experience for high school students.  The program offers students an opportunity to elevate their career prospects, gain knowledge through financial education and professional development workshops.  Interns engage in experiential learning and exposure to entrepreneurship, the world of work and future career paths by working with business, non-profit or governmental organization employers.  Employers have the opportunity to mentor bright teens and to be a part of this transformative program.

Exiting Egypt

ABWCDC’s annual Exiting Egypt conference is about empowering our community and helping individuals take charge of their lives. This event is an incredible opportunity for attendees to learn, connect with like-minded individuals, and gain valuable applicable skills to help them succeed in an everchanging world.

South Africa Project

A Better World Community Development Corporation has engaged with a local South African community by partnering with New York and South African architectural firms to further develop a sustainable design and development of two (2) parcels of land within the town of Winterveld. Once completed, the masterplan will provide a K-8 primary school, indoor and outdoor play areas, a community gathering hall and a business incubator.  It will provide a sustainable and welcoming learning environment for the community of Winterveld, a community still negatively impacted by the enduring legacy of Apartheid. More than a project, it is a promise to the community to transform lives by fostering economic growth, social empowerment, and sustainable development for the Wintersveld community.
